About The Position
TCI Maintenance is hiring a Level 2 Diesel Mechanic to work on heavy-duty diesel trucks at its Las Vegas shop. The mechanic will troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform repairs and maintenance, and road-test vehicles to confirm repairs. The position works Tuesday through Saturday on the day shift and pays $27.55–$31.54, depending on skills and experience. TCI is a family-owned company that has been in business since 1978. Requirements
- Three years of diesel engine repair experience with heavy-duty trucks.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurability requirements.
- Self-motivation, leadership skills, and pride in one’s work.
Nice To Haves
- Class B CDL; preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and work with the supervisor to determine a corrective action plan.
- Lubricate and replace vehicle components.
- Perform electrical system repairs.
- Maintain cooling systems.
- Road-test vehicles to confirm repairs.
- Perform brake maintenance.
- Replace tires and wheels as needed.
- Complete other duties assigned by the supervisor to support the shop and team.
