About The Position

Our award winning Interiors team is looking for a Flammability Engineer II to support showing compliance of commercial aircraft interior components to federal and industry standards to support implementation of interior modifications onto aircraft. This is an onsite position in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.
  • Prior working experience in the aerospace industry, preferably with aircraft interiors is required
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively with team members and cross functional teams.
  • Ability to work proficiently in Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of FAA, EASA rules and regulations, policy memos, guidance materials, standards, etc. related to aircraft seat certification with emphasis on aircraft interiors requirements.
  • Experience working within a ODA or DOA certification environment.
  • Experience of TC, STC, PMA or TSO certification processes.
  • Experience of materials and processes commonly used in aircraft interiors design.
  • Prior experience reviewing and approving engineering data.
  • Ability to work proficiently in engineering related software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Tackle standard engineering assignments with strategic expertise, utilizing your experience to drive impactful solutions and design decisions.
  • Support internal technical and design reviews, representing our Flammability Certification team with confidence and expertise.
  • Compile meticulous FAA certification documentation, ensuring seamless submission to commercial aircraft OEM's and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing invaluable technical leadership and guidance to ensure project success.
