About The Position

Paterson Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified individual to serve as a Flag Football Head Coach for the upcoming season. This role is crucial in guiding and developing student-athletes in the sport of flag football. The season runs from March 9, 2027, to June 14, 2027. The position is contingent upon budget availability and requires the coach to be available daily throughout the spring sports season, including weekends. Requirements

• New Jersey teacher or substitute certification.
• Proof of experience required for Substitute certificate holder.
• Must be available daily during spring sports season including weekends.
• Must be certified in CPR and AED certified, holding a current certificate for both.
• Must obtain a "Concussion Awareness" certificate or its equivalent renewed annually.
• Must obtain a "Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent renewed annually.

Responsibilities

• Coach student-athletes in the sport of flag football.
• Ensure availability daily during the spring sports season, including weekends.
• Maintain current CPR and AED certifications.
• Obtain and renew annual "Concussion Awareness" certificate.
• Obtain and renew annual "Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness" certificate.
• Complete a course in "Sports First Aid" within one year of hiring (for new coaches).
