About The Position

McElroy Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Fixture Fabricator to support the production department by manufacturing, fabricating, and assembling fixtures and tooling. The role works closely with production teams and provides technical support and training as needed to help ensure smooth production operations. It also includes inspecting machined parts, troubleshooting and repairing existing fixtures, and collaborating with supervisory personnel to meet production schedules and quality standards.

This is a safety-sensitive position. The work may involve handling hazardous materials; operating vehicles, equipment, machinery, or power tools; and repairing, maintaining, or monitoring equipment or manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• High level of CNC and manual machining knowledge.
• Effective verbal communication skills to convey information clearly.
• Independent motivation and self-discipline to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to bend, squat, and lift as required during the workday.
• Ability to move between buildings across a multi-building complex covering several acres.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, fabricate, and assemble fixtures and tooling required by the production department.
• Generate and maintain documentation related to fixtures and tooling as needed.
• Provide technical assistance and training to production personnel on the proper use and handling of fixtures.
• Work with planners, programmers, foremen, machine operators, design engineers, and production management to ensure efficient, reliable, and safe fixture fabrication.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing existing fixtures, prioritizing tasks as directed by management.
• Use precision measuring equipment to inspect machined parts and verify the quality of each item or assembly before production use.
• Collaborate with supervisory personnel to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Provide feedback to management to support continuous improvement in processes and fixtures.
