About The Position

We are currently offering a $2,250 Sign-On Bonus for CDL or CDL Permit Holders with Passenger & Air Brakes Endorsements!! This position may be required to work at either our Mesa, AZ or Tempe, AZ locations. This is a full-time position only.

Requirements

Must be minimum 21 years of age
3 years verifiable valid Driver's license
A Valid Arizona Class A or Class B CDL or CDL Permit (REQUIRED)
Must have clean driving record for the last 7 years
Must be able to pass a 10-year criminal background check
Must have stable work history
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include split shifts, late nights, weekends, and holidays
Experience working with the public
Must have excellent face to face customer service skills
Must be able to work at either our Tempe or Mesa locations
Pursuant to Department of Transportation regulations, employment for safety-sensitive positions will be contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screen and a physical examination.
Employment will also be contingent upon completion of a background check consistent with applicable federal, state, and/or local laws.

Responsibilities

Ensure customers feel welcome
Effectively communicate with passengers especially in the event of service disruptions
Provide passengers with assistance as needed
Accommodate passengers with information such as schedule, guidance, etc.
Ensure safe on-road operations while maintaining on-time performance
Familiarity with assigned routing and detours
Awareness of ADA Policies and Procedures
Understanding of ADA Compliance
Proper operation of all wheelchair lifts, for each bus model
Report immediately to dispatch any vehicular accident or passenger incident and follow the incident and accident reporting procedures
Collect the prescribed fares and notify dispatch of any type of fare evasion or fraud
Perform pre and post trip inspections and enter all defects into the ZONAR system
Follow exact deadhead routing and their assigned revenue service routes
Depart the start of each route exactly on-time and never operate ahead of schedule
Report any bunching of buses or other problems that may disrupt scheduled service
Perform other duties as assigned
