About The Position

HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is seeking a friendly and motivated Fitness Floor Attendant to join the fitness team at a corporate client site in Chicago, Illinois. The role provides exercise floor supervision and support to members and program participants, helping maintain a welcoming, safe, and engaging fitness environment. The attendant assists members with fitness needs, provides customer service, monitors safety, and helps maintain facility cleanliness and supplies. This is an on-call position.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED required.
Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety & Health Institute are required within the first 30 days of hire.
Ability to lift weights up to 40 pounds for restacking.
Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills, including the ability to motivate others.
Ability to organize and prioritize work demands effectively.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity.

Nice To Haves

Prior fitness and customer service experience is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of computer applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide exercise floor supervision and interact with members and program participants.
Monitor equipment and participant safety.
Welcome members, answer questions, respond to requests at the front desk, and enter data into the membership system.
Perform facility maintenance, keeping the facility, equipment, and locker rooms clean and stocked.
Understand and carry out emergency medical procedures throughout the facility.
Demonstrate and instruct members on the proper use of exercise equipment.
