Requirements

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ledgers and journals to meet accounting standards and regulations
  • Maintain subsidiary ledgers, databases, and files for quarterly reports
  • Prepare weekly expense vouchers and assist with payment processing
  • Support preparation of quarterly Title IV-E and TANF reports
  • Assist with quarterly reconciliation between agency and county records
  • Determine proper posting of payrolls to correct cost centers
