About The Position

Fayette County Children and Youth is seeking a motivated and dependable professional to perform complex fiscal duties. This role requires strong skills in writing, organization, and data management, with the opportunity to positively impact children and families. The position involves collaborating with the fiscal department and program staff to ensure smooth operations and system transitions. Requirements

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (conditional offer of employment requires drug screening and these clearances).

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of agency functions, regulations, and procedures for Children and Youth Services and Juvenile Probation.
  • Build relationships with caseworkers, supervisors, providers, and partner agencies to exchange needed information.
  • Gather and check documentation to determine eligibility for TANF and IV-E programs.
  • Track changes in household circumstances and maintain required forms and fiscal documentation.
  • Enter information in CAPS, PEAPS, and other systems while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Help process invoices, purchase orders, adoption and foster data, and payroll tasks as required.
