About The Position

Pike County Children & Youth Services is seeking a Caseworker Supervisor to provide direct supervision to caseworkers and support the full range of child welfare responsibilities. This role ensures that all casework follows state and federal rules, agency policies, and required timelines. It is a challenging and rewarding position focused on protecting children and strengthening their futures.

Requirements

• Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Pass a background investigation.
• Pass a drug screening (conditional offer of employment).
• Satisfactory criminal history reports including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance (conditional offer of employment).

• Attach a copy of college transcripts if claiming education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee each caseworker’s placement reviews, guidance, and ongoing service planning.
• Ensure all case documents, plans, and assessments meet state, federal, and agency requirements.
• Review and schedule petitions, forms, and casework meetings with legal representatives.
• Coordinate case management and counseling services for children, youth, and families facing crises or major life changes.
• Supervise the review of suspected child abuse or neglect cases.
• Meet with community partners to align services with the needs of children and youth.
