Perry County Children and Youth Services is seeking a dedicated County Casework Supervisor who wants to make a lasting difference for families. Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Direct caseworkers engaged in providing social services
  • Review and analyze case records to determine the quality of services
  • Plan and supervise tasks such as assigning cases and managing workflow
  • Manage segments of the social services program, including planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating
  • Coordinate emergency on-call coverage and provide back-up support
  • Contact other agencies and represent the program in the community
