Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and review casework activities to support consistent service delivery
  • Direct work assignments, provide guidance, and ensure compliance with agency standards
  • Review documents, prepare reports, and assist with required filings and hearings
  • Help caseworkers build skills through coaching, workshops, and performance review input
  • Collaborate with partner agencies to support child and family services
  • Ensure practices align with laws, regulations, and agency procedures
