The Fiscal Policy Analyst contributes to policy solutions that improve the financial security and well-being of Kansas children and families. The position focuses on state tax and revenue policies, with particular attention to policies that promote equity, strengthen economic security for low- and moderate-income families, and support targeted investments in children and families. The Fiscal Policy Analyst conducts research and analysis to understand fiscal and economic conditions affecting Kansas families, assess the potential impacts of policy proposals, and inform KAC’s policy priorities. The Analyst collects, analyzes, and interprets quantitative and qualitative data from public, proprietary, and other reliable sources and translates findings into clear, accessible information for policymakers, advocates, partners, the media, and the public. The Analyst contributes to KAC’s fiscal policy and advocacy efforts by developing research, policy analysis, recommendations, data visualizations, presentations, and other communications. The position brings a Kansas perspective to state and national fiscal policy discussions and helps identify policy approaches that can strengthen family economic security and contribute to a stronger state economy over time.
