About The Position

The Fiscal Officer position supports OSU Lima, OSU Mansfield, and OSU Marion within the Academic Affairs Administration department, specifically in Budget and Resource Management. This role collaborates closely with administrators and managers to ensure the timely and accurate flow of financial information. The Fiscal Officer reviews and approves revenue and expenditure analyses, provides financial reporting, advises managers on budget balances and funding mechanisms, and works with the regional financial team to prevent deficits and errors. Additionally, the position makes recommendations to the Director of Finance and other unit leaders regarding cost savings and the collaborative use of financial, human, and physical capacity across the regional campuses. A key responsibility is ensuring adherence to fund accounting principles for general, gift, endowment, grant, and earnings funds.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance or equivalent experience.
  • 4 years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence with written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, timely follow up, outstanding work ethic and solid attention to detail required.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial information flows.
