About The Position

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is seeking a passionate individual to serve as a FIRST Robotics Team Co-coach. This role involves mentoring high school students in designing, building, and competing with a FIRST Robotics team. The co-coach will work alongside students, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills to prepare them for the 2026 FIRST Robotics competition season. The position requires collaboration with the Director of Innovation and Innovation Lab Coordinator. Practice and build sessions will occur at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School and the Milwaukee Robotics Academy. The competition season includes specific dates from late November to April.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Teaching experience
  • Spanish language skills

Responsibilities

  • Attend parent meetings to build community and share information with families.
  • Complete the Archdiocese Safe Environment training and become an approved van driver.
  • Attend the launch day event on January 9, 2026.
  • Take the lead in coaching one weekday evening (3:30-7pm) per week and assist with additional drop-in support.
  • Take the lead in coaching one Saturday build session (9:00am-3pm) per month, with additional drop-in support.
  • Take the lead in coaching for the City Champs scrimmage and one of the two district events over a weekend in March.
  • Help prepare for and attend the year-end banquet in late April or early May.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Innovation.
