About The Position

The High School Softball Coach will provide leadership, supervision, and organization to facilitate the sports program. This role involves preparing the team for success while emphasizing sportsmanship and the lessons learned from sport over winning at all costs. The coach is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and academic success of students at all times. Requirements

Must be willing to build off-season program.
Must be prepared for practice and games.
Must be prepared to prepare athletes for game success.
Must be able to teach proper sports technique.
Must be able to supervise locker rooms before and after practice and games.
Must be able to supervise players on the bus and away games.
Must be willing to train and supervise all assistant coaches.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, supervision, and organization to facilitate the sports program.
Prepare the team for the best probability of being successful.
Place sportsmanship and the lessons of sport above “winning at all costs”.
Insure the health, safety and academic success of students at all times.
Build off-season program.
Be prepared for practice and games.
Prepare athletes for game success.
Teach proper sports technique.
Supervise locker rooms before and after practice and games.
Supervise players on the bus and away games.
Train and supervise all assistant coaches.
