About The Position

This traineeship program, designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in VIC, offers a 12-month educational pathway combining formal learning with on-the-job training. Participants will gain industry skills and a qualification, working as a key member of the Kinetic IT team. The program includes work experience as a Service Desk Technician, formal learning towards a Certificate III in Information Technology or Business, and dedicated mentor support from a specialist Indigenous mentorship provider.

Responsibilities

Be a key member of the Kinetic IT team directly supporting customers.
Act as the first point of contact for users needing technical support.
Help resolve common IT issues such as password resets, system access, and basic troubleshooting.
Provide professional, customer-focused service over phone, email, or chat.
Log and escalate tickets as needed while following structured processes.
Complete a Certificate III in Information Technology or Business through weekly instructor-led sessions.
Put into practice what is learned in formal training sessions.
Attend monthly catch-ups with a mentor to discuss role progress and learning journey.
