The Maintenance First Line Leader is responsible for the management, coordination, and direction of a maintenance crew in a designated area, reporting to the Area Maintenance Manager. This role involves managing the daily activities of a maintenance crew in an operating area, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all maintenance and repair work. The leader will utilize the Manufacturing Work System (MWS) process, effectively manage resources through planning and scheduling, and assess training needs of crew members. Responsibilities also include responding to off-shift issues, managing team time and attendance, performance, and record-keeping, and communicating maintenance activities to operations through MWS and weekly planning meetings. The role requires working with operating departments to maintain optimum operating conditions, utilizing maintenance metrics to achieve crew goals, participating in the RCFA process, promoting integrated work between mechanical and electrical craftspeople, and using SAP PM and other automated tools to improve work procedures and preventive maintenance.
