About The Position

The OCC Front Line Leader leads OCC hourly team members supporting one of Riverdale Mill’s operating areas, and works in partnership with the area OCC FLL’s to ensure the reliable operation of the area equipment. This position reports to the Area Process Manager (APM).

Requirements

  • Lead OCC hourly team members
  • Support Riverdale Mill’s operating areas
  • Partner with area OCC FLL’s
  • Ensure reliable operation of area equipment
  • Manage team compliance with company and mill policies, procedures, and other requirements
  • Approve pay and vacation scheduling
  • Complete administrative tasks consistent with labor agreement and mill/company policy
  • Conduct 1:1s with employees
  • Provide and receive guidance and development feedback
  • Identify individual and organizational training needs
  • Implement training plans (hard and soft skills)
  • Coordinate with operations to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities
  • Coordinate with area OCC FLL’s to jointly resource tasks and solve problems across maintenance disciplines
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Support identification and implementation of solutions
  • Serve as contractor coordinator for vendor or contractor resources
  • Serve as a key member of the MWS team
  • Fulfill positional responsibilities within the MWS process
  • Improve existing or implement new work systems
  • Ensure sustainability of progress/positive results
  • Serve on a weekend duty team for the OCC department

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the OCC crew in a goal-oriented environment to deliver results in the areas of safety, engagement, and reliability excellence.
  • Manage team compliance with company and mill policies, procedures, and other requirements.
  • Approve pay and vacation scheduling for the team, and complete other administrative tasks consistent with the requirements of the labor agreement and mill/company policy.
  • Conduct 1:1s with employees to provide and receive guidance and development feedback.
