Lead firmware engineers responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded firmware and software for Super I/O (SIO) and Embedded Controller (EC) chip products used in enterprise-class PC platforms, including desktops, workstations, notebooks, and all-in-one systems. Oversee and contribute hands-on to firmware architecture and software design across multiple generations of SIO and EC products, including boot flow, low-level drivers, system services, and firmware frameworks. Lead the definition and implementation of complex firmware features such as thermal monitoring, fan control, power management, and hardware-software interaction mechanisms. Serve as the primary technical authority for SIO and EC firmware, conducting design and code reviews and architectural assessments to ensure correctness, performance, security, and maintainability. Develop firmware primarily in C in bare-metal and RTOS-based environments, and support integration with system BIOS and platform firmware. Collaborate with hardware and validation teams and global customers to define requirements, analyze technical constraints, and deliver customer-specific firmware features and solutions. Troubleshoot complex firmware- and silicon-related customer issues, determine root causes, and deliver corrective actions. Design security-related firmware functionality, including cryptographic mechanisms, secure boot flows, and device identity features for platform security and Root of Trust solutions. Support proof-of-concept activities for new technologies and future product directions. Debug complex firmware, hardware, and system-level issues using hardware and software debugging tools, guide teams through critical customer escalations, and mentor firmware engineers to support consistent implementation practices and successful project execution.
