About The Position

ProSidian seeks a Fire Protection Project Manager for Program Support on an Exempt 1099 Contract basis. This role involves hybrid work (on/off client site and virtual) in CONUS - Mid-Atlantic and Southeast (North Charleston, SC) and California Central Coast; Western United States; North America Area (Vandenberg Space Force Base, near Lompoc, Santa Barbara County, California). The professional will support geographically dispersed naval engineering facilities requiring coordinated fire protection, life safety, and modernization support. The role is aligned with GSA Labor Category: Program Manager and focuses on Engineering Services Program Support for Navy | NIWC Fire Protection Engineer Services and Support. Candidates with relevant Defense and National Security Sector Experience are sought to support clients such as NIWC. This position is initially a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) role, but ProSidian reserves the right to convert it to a Full-Time ProSidian-employed W-2 Position. The role involves delivering mission-critical fire protection engineering, risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and safety solutions that safeguard Navy installations, coordinating engineering priorities, stakeholder decisions, schedules, and resources to advance NIWC facility safety and modernization. This includes Fire Protection Project Management and SRM Planning.

Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree and engineering project coordination experience are recommended.
  • Experience coordinating engineering services, multi-site stakeholders and scope controls.
  • Scheduling, scope definition, stakeholder coordination, action tracking, travel planning, spreadsheet reporting.

  • PMP is desirable, not required by the PWS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Defense and National Security Sector related Hybrid – On/Off Client Site and Virtual Engineering Services for Navy | NIWC Fire Protection Engineer Services and Support as a Labor Category: Program Manager.
  • Coordinate SRM planning, review priorities, site access, travel, and AHJ interfaces.
  • Track review status and unresolved decisions.
  • Support scheduling as a proposed delivery method.
  • Coordinate engineering services, multi-site stakeholders and scope controls.
  • Support business development activities.
