About The Position

ProSidian seeks a Fire Protection Project Manager for Program Support on an Exempt 1099 Contract basis. This role is hybrid, involving both on-site and virtual work, located in the California Central Coast region, specifically near Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. The position supports geographically dispersed naval engineering facilities requiring coordinated fire protection, life safety, and modernization support. The role is aligned with the GSA Labor Category: Program Manager and focuses on Engineering Services Program Support for Navy | NIWC Fire Protection Engineer Services. Candidates with relevant Defense and National Security sector experience are sought to support clients like NIWC. This is a contract contingent position, with the possibility of conversion to a full-time W-2 role. The primary work site is near Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, supporting the Defense Health Agency. The role involves delivering mission-critical fire protection engineering, risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and safety solutions for Navy installations, coordinating engineering priorities, stakeholder decisions, schedules, and resources for facility safety and modernization. It also includes Fire Protection Project Management and SRM Planning.

Requirements

  • Experience coordinating engineering services, multi-site stakeholders and scope controls.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree and engineering project coordination experience recommended.
  • Scheduling, scope definition, stakeholder coordination, action tracking, travel planning, spreadsheet reporting.
  • Prioritization, communication, resource discipline, issue escalation, delivery accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Defense and National Security Sector related Hybrid – On/Off Client Site and Virtual Engineering Services for Navy | NIWC Fire Protection Engineer Services and Support as a Labor Category: Program Manager.
  • Coordinate SRM planning, review priorities, site access, travel and AHJ interfaces.
  • Track review status and unresolved decisions.
  • Support scheduling as a proposed delivery method.
  • Deliver mission-critical fire protection engineering, risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and safety solutions safeguarding Navy installations.
  • Coordinate engineering priorities, stakeholder decisions, schedules, and resources to advance NIWC facility safety and modernization.
  • Perform Fire Protection Project Management and SRM Planning.
  • Support business development activities.
