About The Position

ProSidian seeks a Fire Protection Project Manager for Program Support on an Exempt 1099 Contract basis for Hybrid – On/Off Client Site and Virtual work in the California Central Coast region, specifically near Vandenberg Space Force Base. This role supports geographically dispersed naval engineering facilities requiring coordinated fire protection, life safety, and modernization support. The position is aligned with GSA Labor Category: Program Manager and focuses on Engineering Services Program Support for Navy | NIWC Fire Protection Engineer Services. Candidates with relevant Defense and National Security Sector Experience are desired. This is a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) position, with the possibility of conversion to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. The role involves delivering mission-critical fire protection engineering, risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and safety solutions for Navy installations, coordinating engineering priorities, stakeholder decisions, schedules, and resources.

Requirements

  • Experience coordinating engineering services, multi-site stakeholders and scope controls.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree and engineering project coordination experience recommended; no PWS minimum.
  • Scheduling, scope definition, stakeholder coordination, action tracking, travel planning, spreadsheet reporting.
  • Prioritization, communication, resource discipline, issue escalation, delivery accountability.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP is desirable, not required by the PWS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Defense and National Security Sector related Hybrid – On/Off Client Site and Virtual Engineering Services for Navy | NIWC Fire Protection Engineer Services and Support as a Labor Category: Program Manager.
  • Coordinate SRM planning, review priorities, site access, travel and AHJ interfaces.
  • Track review status and unresolved decisions.
  • Schedule support is a proposed delivery method; no separate project manager is specified.
  • Supporting function; may be performed by the lead engineer. Not an additional full-time requirement.
