About The Position

Impact Fire Services is a full-service fire protection and life safety company providing installation, maintenance, inspection, monitoring, and retrofit services. The Fire Extinguisher Technician performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fire extinguishers in residential and commercial spaces. This position is based out of the company’s Pompano Beach, Florida district office.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Fire extinguisher experience required.
Understanding of NFPA standards and building and fire codes.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Professional appearance.
Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening.
MVR checks are required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and/or annual inspections and preventive maintenance on fire extinguishers of various sizes.
Repair, replace, fill, and tag fire extinguishers.
Service and test fire extinguishers.
Complete electronic and/or handwritten inspection reports.
Document time worked and submit paperwork related to assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Assist with scheduling and completing assigned duties.
Work independently and use provided personal protective equipment.
