About The Position

The Fire Extinguisher Technician performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fire extinguishers in residential and commercial spaces. The position is based out of the company’s Pompano Beach, Florida district office.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fire extinguisher experience.
• Understanding of NFPA and building and fire codes.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and/or annual inspections and preventative maintenance on fire extinguishers of various sizes.
• Repair, replace, fill, and tag fire extinguishers.
• Service and test fire extinguishers.
• Complete electronic and/or handwritten inspection reports.
• Document time worked and complete paperwork related to assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Assist with scheduling and completing assigned duties.
• Work independently and use provided personal protective equipment.
