About The Position

The Fire Extinguisher Technician inspects, sells, and services fire suppression components, including fire extinguishers, emergency lights, and other fire products. The technician is expected to provide timely, professional service and meet weekly service and productivity goals. Continued employment depends on successfully obtaining the licenses and certifications required by National, State, and Local codes. The role also involves maintaining a clean, organized vehicle and helping ensure a safe environment for the technician, coworkers, and customers.

Requirements

• Fire extinguisher or fire suppression experience.
• Ability to learn applicable inspection and servicing codes.
• Ability to learn and understand general electrical safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and a current, sustainable good driving record.
• Strong work ethic and professional appearance.
• Excellent selling, communication, and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Fire Extinguisher COF; W96.
• Applicable experience in the fire protection industry or commercial customer service.
• Electrical background or basic comfort and knowledge with electrical work.
• Ability to provide services across multiple product lines.

Responsibilities

• Manage time to complete the maximum number of service calls while maintaining a high level of quality.
• Achieve weekly productivity goals assigned by the Branch Manager.
• Learn applicable fire protection codes and obtain licenses and certifications required by National, State, and Local codes.
• Protect and maintain company equipment.
• Work safely in accordance with company procedures, including driving, personal protective equipment, and lockout/tag-out policies.
• Maintain the vehicle according to company procedures and keep it clean and organized.
