About The Position

Atronic is seeking a full-time, on-site Fire Alarm Technician in Springfield, MO. This role involves the installation, programming, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and life safety systems in residential and commercial buildings. Responsibilities include interpreting plans and diagrams, pulling and terminating low-voltage cable, mounting and connecting devices, troubleshooting system issues, performing repairs, documenting work, and interacting with customers. The technician will collaborate with internal teams and other trades to ensure safe and timely project completion.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in commercial fire alarm installation, service, or inspections preferred.
Working knowledge of NFPA codes, low-voltage wiring, and fire alarm system programming.
Experience with commercial fire alarm systems and related devices.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

NICET II certification in Fire Alarm Systems.

Responsibilities

Install, program, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial fire alarm systems.
Perform fire alarm inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance in accordance with NFPA standards and company procedures.
Diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently and accurately.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Complete all required inspection reports, service documentation, and material tracking accurately and on time.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Communicate professionally with customers regarding system operation, deficiencies, and recommended repairs.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure projects and service calls are completed on schedule.
