About The Position

Firetrol Protection Systems is seeking a dedicated Fire Alarm Project Manager to lead and manage fire alarm system installation projects from inception to completion. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful projects on time and within budget.

The Project Manager participates in sales bid reviews; organizes project kick-off, design-process, and field-to-design hand-off meetings; and is actively involved in pre-design and design, including gathering field information. The role manages project scope changes, documentation, change-order requests and pricing, RFIs, equipment and material orders, and the construction process. It also facilitates transfer of field documentation to design and administrative staff.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the fire protection or fire alarm systems industry.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, codes, and installation practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Nice To Haves

• NICET certification in fire alarm systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in sales bid reviews.
• Schedule and conduct project kick-off meetings.
• Participate in pre-design and design, including obtaining field information for the design process.
• Schedule and conduct meetings throughout the design process.
• Review and facilitate project scope changes, new documentation, and change-order requests; price and issue change orders accordingly.
• Create and maintain project RFIs, with design staff assistance for design-related RFIs.
• Order project equipment and materials using Firetrol’s project construction web-based software platform.
• Schedule and conduct hand-off meetings between field superintendents and design.
• Manage the construction process according to project objectives.
• Check and facilitate turnover of field documentation from the field superintendent to the design department and administration staff.
• Manage multiple projects and coordinate teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
