Fire Alarm Project Technician

About The Position

MSS Solutions, LLC is hiring a Project Technician – Fire I to install and certify fire safety product lines, support project quality and safety, and help keep fire alarm systems operational and reliable. The technician works with customers or general contractors and communicates schedule availability, material needs, and job-related issues to the Project Management team. The role also supports emergency service call-outs on a rotational basis and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Two years of experience in commercial or industrial fire alarm systems.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
Ability to read and interpret technical and parts manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
Experience using hand tools and a multimeter.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work on lifts and ladders.
Must possess hand tools.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Install and certify fire safety product lines.
Guide the installation process and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Add devices to existing systems and certify systems after modifications.
Perform minor repairs and programming changes to keep systems operational and reliable.
Interact with customers or general contractors to ensure work is performed as expected.
Communicate schedule availability, material needs, and job-related issues to the Project Management team.
Complete assigned tasks on time.
Support emergency service call-outs on a rotational basis.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company.
