About The Position

The Finishing Technician efficiently processes polishing projects through the Repair Services wash station. The role includes washing and plating polished items to Tiffany & Co. production and quality standards, including rhodium and other electroplating, surface treatments such as oxidation, and sandblasting techniques. The technician checks merchandise and repair paperwork, keeps orders organized, communicates production updates and concerns, and supports other technicians and department areas as needed.

Requirements

• Experience cleaning silver, gold, platinum, jewelry, and precious stones.
• Experience using jewelry cleaning equipment such as tumblers, ultrasonics, and steam cleaners.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Flexibility to respond to business needs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with jewelry plating, including rhodium and ruthenium.
• Experience with quality control practices.

Responsibilities

• Wash and plate polished items according to production and quality standards.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of orders through washout, visual inspection of merchandise, and review of repair order paperwork.
• Maintain assigned orders in an organized manner and update administrative staff on repairs and production reports.
• Advise management of concerns related to processing, work capacity, and merchandise quality.
• Assist other technicians to ensure timely completion of departmental work.
• Demonstrate flexibility and versatility by assisting other areas of the department according to business needs.
• Perform rhodium and other electroplating, surface treatments such as oxidation, and sandblasting techniques.
