About The Position

The Finishing Technician efficiently processes polishing projects through the Repair Services wash station. The role is responsible for rhodium and other electroplating, surface treatments such as oxidation, sandblasting techniques, and enforcing Tiffany & Co. quality standards. The technician washes and plates polished items according to production and quality standards, verifies orders and merchandise, maintains organized work, communicates production updates and concerns, and assists other technicians and department areas as business needs require.

Requirements

• Experience cleaning silver and jewelry, specifically silver, gold, platinum, and precious stones.
• Experience using jewelry cleaning equipment such as tumblers, ultrasonics, and steam cleaners.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility regarding business needs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with jewelry plating, including rhodium and ruthenium.
• Experience with quality control practices.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently wash and plate polished items according to TCO production and quality standards.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of orders processed from washout, including visual inspection of merchandise and repair order paperwork.
• Maintain assigned orders in an organized manner and update administrative staff on repairs and production reports.
• Advise management of concerns regarding processing, work capacity, and merchandise quality.
• Assist other technicians to ensure timely completion of department work.
• Demonstrate flexibility and versatility by assisting other department areas as business needs require.
• Perform rhodium and other electroplating and surface treatments, including oxidation and sandblasting techniques.
• Enforce quality standards set by Tiffany & Co.
