About The Position
Royal Waste Services is seeking a safety-conscious Driver Helper for its Queens, NY team. The role supports garbage truck operations by manually collecting solid waste along designated routes and transporting materials to appropriate disposal sites. The schedule includes nights and weekends, six days per week.
Requirements
- A CDL permit is required.
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds throughout the day.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Ride along with the driver and assist with customer service.
- Load refuse bags and bring containers to the truck for proper disposal.
- Direct the driver when backing the vehicle.
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance.
- Operate packing mechanisms and levers to activate the loading arm.
- Clean the packer blade and truck body.
- Provide positive customer service interactions.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
