Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to safely lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand for long periods in a non-climate-controlled, industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a team-based production environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to comprehend instructions and accept coaching and mentoring.
  • Proven ability to adhere to and successfully perform job functions consistent with Buck Company's strict safety policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of casting defects is a plus.
  • Previous experience or knowledge related to metal casting defects or industrial finishing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Expertly operate various industrial grinding devices to remove excess metal (such as parting lines and rough edges) from metal castings, achieving a flawless final product.
  • Utilize specialized equipment, including gate-breakers and hammers, for initial casting preparation and separation.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks on finished parts, identifying and sorting castings based on type and quality standards.
  • Maintain strict compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and quality protocols.
  • Actively participate in essential cross-training opportunities to broaden skill set and contribute flexibly across the production floor.
