Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to safely lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs regularly.
Ability to stand for long periods in a non-climate-controlled, industrial environment.
Demonstrated ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a team-based production environment.
Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to comprehend instructions and accept coaching and mentoring.
Proven ability to adhere to and successfully perform job functions consistent with Buck Company's strict safety policy.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of casting defects is a plus.
Previous experience or knowledge related to metal casting defects or industrial finishing is a plus.

Responsibilities

Expertly operate various industrial grinding devices to remove excess metal (such as parting lines and rough edges) from metal castings, achieving a flawless final product.
Utilize specialized equipment, including gate-breakers and hammers, for initial casting preparation and separation.
Conduct thorough quality checks on finished parts, identifying and sorting castings based on type and quality standards.
Maintain strict compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and quality protocols.
Actively participate in essential cross-training opportunities to broaden skill set and contribute flexibly across the production floor.
