About The Position

We have an opening for a Finished Goods Machine Operator-Night Shift. This role involves setting up and operating one piece of equipment, with eligibility to begin training towards Machine Operator/Mechanic status. The operator will be responsible for ensuring product quality and adherence to food safety standards, performing quality checks, and maintaining equipment.

Requirements

High school or equivalency needed.
Ability to speak, read and write English strongly preferred.
Required math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Use of charts and forms.
Basic computer skills needed.

Nice To Haves

Additional trades training a strong plus.
CRC (Bronze level or higher) a plus.

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates equipment, always checking for the latest revision of the packing schedule before setting up the line.
Monitors equipment to assure that all product adheres to food safety and quality critical limits.
Visually and physically performs quality checks of labels and coding on the assigned line.
Keeps records of downtime and product checks.
Adjusts line speeds as needed.
Performs daily and weekly operational and pre-operational checks on assigned equipment.
Cleans and maintains the assigned work area.
Works on various lines as needed.
Follows safety rules and company policies.
Assists in training seasonal Machine Laborers.
Occasionally is responsible for more than one machine.
Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
Receives verbal and written instructions from supervisor on above tasks and performs other work as directed by supervisor.
