About The Position

The Finish Batch Mixer Operator sets up and operates assigned machinery to weigh, mix, and blend rubber and other chemicals into a homogeneous mixture. The role follows standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work orders to meet production specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The operator also cleans and maintains equipment using a 5S approach, monitors accessory equipment, and reports machine malfunctions to maintenance.

Requirements

High school diploma.
1–2 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience.
Basic computer and data-entry skills, including the ability to operate and load simple computer programs to run equipment.
Ability to operate with speed and accuracy and maintain a team-player attitude.
Ability to work in a dynamic, energetic, fast-paced work environment.
Ability to stand, walk, or move about the work area; bend, reach, twist, and stoop; and frequently lift 75 pounds or more.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Load specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment according to SOPs.
Transfer materials, supplies, or products between work areas using powered or non-powered transportation equipment and hand tools.
Examine materials, ingredients, or products according to SOPs to ensure they meet established standards.
Operate machines according to SOPs to mix or blend ingredients under specified conditions.
Clean and maintain equipment, targeting a 5S approach.
Monitor accessory equipment, such as pumps or conveyors, to ensure compliance with production process standards.
Follow work orders to determine production schedules, specifications, and standards compliance.
Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure they meet requirements.
Collect material or product samples for laboratory testing.
Unload mixtures into containers or onto conveyors for further processing.
Dislodge and clear jammed materials or other items from machinery while following safety and quality SOPs.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Notify the maintenance department of machine malfunctions.
