About The Position

The Camden Vicinage is seeking a finance professional with strong analytical and administrative skills to perform accounting, fixed assets, financial and administrative functions. Under the direction of the Vicinage Finance Division Manager and the Assistant Finance Division Manager, this individual will perform accounting and financial functions; accounts payable functions; compile statistical data on salary and operating expenditures; and assist with budget and grant reporting. Keeps up-to-date with new developments and recommend improvements in operating procedures and work processes. Does related work as assigned. Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, statistics, mathematics, data analytics and/or financial related courses.
  • Six of these credit hours must be in accounting.
  • Applicants who do not possess the required education, but do possess the 21 accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, statistics, mathematics, data analytics and/or financial related courses, including six accounting credit hours, may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.
  • College or university transcript is required.

  • Degrees conferred outside of the United States must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service.
  • Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
  • Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
  • Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting.
