About The Position

The Financial Solutions Advisor (FSA) Stage I role at Bank of America is a developmental position focused on obtaining necessary securities licenses and learning foundational advisory skills. The program includes dedicated training for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams. Upon licensing, individuals will learn to acquire, build, and manage client relationships, assess financial needs, and provide guidance and solutions. The role progresses through stages, with Stage I involving work in a financial center to deliver core banking and investment solutions. Successful performance leads to progression to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, with further opportunities within Bank of America and Merrill. The program is supported by The Academy with dedicated resources. This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including background checks and federal registry submission, with failure to comply potentially leading to termination.

Requirements

  • Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses.

  • Must obtain SIE within 30 days of hire.
  • Must obtain Series 7 & 66 within 120 days of hire.
  • High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently holds FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE).
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of one year of financial services industry or sales experience.
  • Series 63 & 65 accepted, in lieu of 66.

  • Connect clients to solutions provided through Bank of America and Merrill.
  • Systematically identify client needs and appropriate solutions using a defined consultative approach.
