The Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) role begins with dedicated training to obtain the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 securities licenses (Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66). The advisor then develops foundational skills in acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ financial circumstances; and offering advice and solutions. After meeting key milestones, the advisor works in a financial center, delivering Bank of America’s core banking, investment solutions, and client care. Successful Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, with opportunities to advance to other roles within Bank of America and Merrill. The Academy provides programs, tools, and resources throughout the development process. The role requires SAFE Act registration and completion of the related background check and registration process. Employees engaged in residential mortgage loan originations must remain in good standing in the federal registry; failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in termination. The position is open across the market, and the specific financial center location will depend on business needs. The employee will train at one financial center and may initially work in a phone-based capacity until another location within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, as permitted by law. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, on first shift, for 40 hours per week. It is based in the Northridge, California market, with pay of $28.85 to $33.65 per hour. Offers are determined by experience, education, and skill set. Compensation is base salary and is not incentive eligible; the role is benefits eligible.
