About The Position
Machias Savings Bank is seeking a Financial Services Specialist to join its branch team in Brewer. The role supports customers with everyday banking needs, builds customer relationships, and connects customers with products and services that support their financial goals. The position includes mandatory in-person onboarding training of up to one week in Machias within the first 30 days. Future training may also require travel if retraining is needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Previous customer service or retail experience and a passion for helping others.
- Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly and solve problems effectively.
- Ability to travel to Machias for up to one week of mandatory in-person training within the first 30 days; future training may also require travel if retraining is needed.
Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Build new customer relationships and deepen existing ones through meaningful conversations and product referrals.
- Identify customer needs and refer mortgage, home equity, and other banking opportunities to appropriate team members to support branch growth.
