Float Financial Service Representative
About The Position
The Float Financial Service Representative provides professional, accurate, and courteous service to credit union members. The role increases use of CUA products and services among existing and new members through proactive sales efforts and provides relief to branches while a Financial Service Representative vacancy is being filled or recruitment or training takes place. The representative handles member requests and financial transactions, supports problem resolution, identifies product and lending opportunities, and hands off work to branch leadership at the end of a coverage period. Employees must complete annual training and understand and follow the BSA/AML Compliance Program requirements relevant to their job.
Requirements
- One to three years of similar or related experience.
- High school education or GED.
- Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy, with interpersonal skills for building relationships and giving or obtaining information and cooperation.
- Ability to operate a ten-key calculator and computer keyboard.
Responsibilities
- Increase member penetration and use of credit union services among new and existing members.
- Identify credit union service and lending opportunities, develop leads, and sell credit union products through direct solicitation.
- Hand off work to branch leadership at the end of the coverage period.
- Fulfill member requests and prepare necessary documents in compliance with CUA policies and legal requirements.
- Receive and process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Support members with problem resolution, account research, and questions about CUA products and services; refer issues beyond their authority to the manager.
- Cross-sell credit union products and services that would benefit members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Complete annual training and demonstrate understanding of and compliance with the BSA/AML Compliance Program requirements relevant to the job.
