About The Position

The Life Fitness / Hammer Strength Summer 2027 Internship Program is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience that supports both professional development and business impact. Successful interns will work on challenging projects aligned with their academic background, receive ongoing mentorship from experienced professionals, and gain exposure to key corporate finance functions. Throughout the internship, you will help support financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and business analytics that enable informed decision-making across the organization. As a Financial Planning and Analysis Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and business decision-making while contributing to projects that help drive company performance and growth.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date in 2028 or 2029.
  • Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong academic standing preferred, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
  • Demonstrated initiative, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; Excel certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively with large datasets and translate findings into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to business-critical projects that support financial planning, analysis, and operational decision-making.
  • Assist with month-end reporting activities, including global consolidation of financial results and variance analysis against budget and prior-year performance.
  • Support the preparation of executive reporting materials and financial presentations for leadership.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting to support business partners across Sales, Marketing, Legal, Information Technology, Research & Development, and Human Resources.
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support day-to-day responsibilities within the Corporate Finance organization.
  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings and project discussions.
  • Collaborate with fellow interns on a 12-week cross-functional case study project and present recommendations to senior leaders, stakeholders, and managers.
  • Gain exposure to multiple finance disciplines through networking and professional development opportunities.
