About The Position

Elevate Credit Union is looking for a full-time Financial Operations Specialist to join our Member Support team in Brigham. This role involves a unique combination of member service, fraud prevention, electronic banking support, and operational processing. The position includes two different types of workdays: posting days focused on detailed back-office processing, and member support days assisting members via phone and digital channels, researching issues, and responding to potential fraud. This is an on-site position based in Brigham.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least two years of successful full-time experience in banking, financial services, customer service, administrative work, or another professional office environment is required.

Responsibilities

  • Processing files for daily posting and other assigned operational functions
  • Processing account maintenance requests and electronic transactions
  • Reviewing and processing items such as ACH activity, mobile deposits, account transfers, stop payments, disputes, and other payment services
  • Researching transaction discrepancies, returns, processing errors, and account concerns
  • Reviewing information for accuracy and resolving exceptions
  • Following established procedures, approval requirements, and security controls
  • Coordinating with other departments when additional information or assistance is needed
  • Assisting members by phone and through digital service channels
  • Helping members with online banking, mobile banking, cards, bill pay, and related services
  • Researching and resolving account and transaction questions
  • Reviewing fraud alerts, suspicious transactions, compromised-account notifications, and other potential fraud concerns
  • Contacting members when needed to verify activity or address account security concerns
  • Helping members understand fraud prevention and digital banking security
  • Process member-related forms and keep departmental tracking records and spreadsheets accurate and up to date
  • Taking ownership of issues and following them through to resolution
