About The Position

People Incorporated of Virginia is currently seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Financial Operations Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting People Incorporated & subsidiaries financial operations by performing key financial duties related to accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR) and basic cash transaction processing. This role ensures the timely and accurate recording of transactions, supports internal departments with billing and payment processing, and assists with bank and credit card reconciliations. The FinOps Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy and helping the agency meet its operational goals. This full-time, non-exempt position reports directly to the Accounting Manager- FinOps. We're an organization that's committed to improving the lives of those we serve. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years experience in AP, AR or general accounting is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, external auditors, vendors and stakeholders.
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills with a solid understanding of fund accounting and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience in cash management, accounts payable and receivable and bank and credit card reconciliations.
