About The Position
Hanover Hill Behavioral Health, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, combines two leaders in health care, in the partnership of Universal Health Services & Lehigh Valley Health Network. This brand new 144-bed free standing behavioral health facility offers the community high-quality behavioral health care services for seniors, adults and adolescents. Hanover Hill is seeking an experienced Financial Counselor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team while working in a state-of-the-art facility, including EPIC.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, is required
- 1-2 years of relevant experience is required
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree is preferred
- 3-4 years of relevant experience is preferred
- Experience in admission process and insurance verification procedures
- Working knowledge of managed care
- Interpretation of insurance coverage plans, co-payments and deductible schedules and payment plans is preferred
Responsibilities
- Verify primary and secondary insurance coverage for the patients of Hanover Hill Behavioral Health.
- Notify all relevant parties and explain insurance benefits.
- Review insurance certification letters and ensure authorization numbers are entered on patient accounts prior to billing.
