This role partners closely with VWGoA Finance and MOIA GmbH Accounting/Controlling to ensure U.S.-based financial movements are correctly recorded, transparent, and compliant with applicable policies and financial standards. The Controller leads core planning activities, supports monthly close processes, ensures strong internal controls, and provides actionable financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. The role further supports project-related controlling for R&D, CAPEX, and U.S.-driven pilot initiatives, ensuring full visibility and accuracy of all project‑related financials.Possible Tasks within this RoleFinancial Planning, Analysis & Reporting (approx. 40%)   Lead annual budgeting, Planning Round submissions, and financial forecasts by consolidating inputs from business units, validating assumptions, and ensuring alignment with VWGoA and MOIA GmbH requirements. Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, variance analyses, and management summaries for MOIA America LLC leadership and MOIA GmbH headquarters. Support Board of Directors (BoD) meeting preparations with accurate financial content, projections, and insights. Monitor financial performance trends, identify risks/opportunities, and support proactive decision-making. Ensure cost center structure accuracy, transparency of spend, and clear allocation of overhead and project-related charges.   Accounting Interface, Internal Controls & Entity Governance (approx. 30%) Support VWGoA Accounting during monthly close by providing required accruals, cost classifications, and financial validations. Ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards, VW Group policies, and internal control requirements. Strengthen local internal controls (approval workflows, financial procedures, documentation, reconciliations). Drive liquidity planning for MOIA America LLC—including intercompany loan processes and monitoring payments from ADMT GmbH. Act as a key contact for internal and external auditors regarding MOIA America LLC financials. Promote discipline and accountability in resource usage, purchasing, and cost approvals across the entity.   Project & Product Controlling (approx. 30%)  Perform financial controlling for MOIA America LLC projects including R&D, CAPEX, pilot deployments, and future product initiatives. Ensure correct cost classification and accounting treatment in alignment with VWGoA Finance and MOIA GmbH Controlling. Track project budgets, commitments, actuals, and variances; ensure stakeholders have timely transparency. Maintain KPI frameworks and cost monitoring systems for project and product initiatives. Support financial modeling for new programs or operational scenarios. List supporting duties Compensation DataIn Silicon Valley (California), the salary range for this role will be $135,000 - $155,000, depending on education and years of relevant experience.
