About The Position

The Financial Controller is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the company's financial reporting and control environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, strengthening financial discipline, and providing reliable financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including team leadership.
  • Proven ownership of financial close, audits, and core accounting operations.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with high accountability and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
  • Effective communicator able to partner with non-financial stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and hold teams accountable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Review reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate external audits.
  • Manage core accounting functions (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets).
  • Maintain strong internal controls, ensure policy compliance, and mitigate financial risk while improving processes and systems.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor performance against plan, analyze variances, and provide insights to support leadership decision-making.
  • Lead and develop the accounting team through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
