The Role As a Financial Controller, you will be a key member of our finance team, taking ownership of financial reporting, internal controls and overall accounting operations. This role is essential for delivering accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information that supports strategic decision-making. You will review financial operations, participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, and compliance processes to ensure our continued growth, finance control and operational efficiency. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, accountability and will play a crucial part in our decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Around 5+ years of experience in accounting, controlling, or financial management.
  • Prior experience in a senior audit position or Big 4 firm is highly valued and/or Start-up/Scale-up experience.
  • Degree in Accounting, Management, Finance, or a related field (bachelor’s or master’s).
  • Chartered Accountant qualification is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of accounting standards, financial statements, and tax regulations.
  • Experience with tools such as Excel, Netsuite, Payhawk, Ramp, Oracle, or SAGE.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, control and report financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across departments and product lines.
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting.
  • Oversee internal control systems and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and tax obligations.
  • Collaborate in a fast-moving environment, cross-functionally to align financial reporting and business goals.
  • Manage cash flow, cost control, and ad-hoc financial risk assessments.
  • Optimize automation of ERP and accounting tools such as Netsuite, Payhawk, Ramp.
  • Analyze and report variances, provide insights into financial performance metrics.
  • Contribute to business planning and strategic initiatives with financial insights.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, systems, and controls for scalability and efficiency.
