About The Position

The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and fiscal management for The Solutions Team. This role ensures the accuracy of financial data, compliance with regulations, and provides strategic financial insight to support business growth and decision-making. This position will lead day-to-day accounting functions while also playing a key role in financial planning, forecasting, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, with leadership responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with financial systems (QuickBooks, ERP systems, etc.)
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA certification
  • Experience in Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT services industry
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Familiarity with tools such as QuickBooks Online, ConnectWise, and Airbase

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, and financial reporting
  • Direct and manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Maintain and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
  • Coordinate and manage audits, tax filings, and external financial reporting requirements
  • Oversee cash flow management and financial risk mitigation strategies
  • Implement and improve accounting systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives and company growth
  • Direct preparation of company budgets and forecasts
  • Prepare reports required by regulatory agencies
  • Advise leadership on financial strategy and operational adjustments
  • Coordinate audits and ensure financial accuracy
  • Provide guidance on insurance, risk, and financial planning
  • Oversee investment and allocation of company funds
