About The Position

Unhitched Management is seeking a Financial Controller to lead and strengthen the financial operations of their growing organization. This is a hands-on leadership role that will partner closely with executive leadership to support smart decision-making, build scalable processes, and ensure the company has the financial foundation needed to continue growing successfully. In addition to overseeing accounting and financial operations, this individual will play a key role in developing and mentoring the bookkeeping team, helping create structure, accountability, and opportunities for growth as the company continues to expand. Requirements

5+ years of accounting, finance, or financial leadership experience preferred
Experience supporting multi-location or multi-entity organizations
Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and business operations
Experience leading, mentoring, or developing team members
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
A proactive problem solver who enjoys building processes and improving systems
Comfortable working in a fast-growing environment where priorities evolve
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

Nice To Haves

CPA is a plus
Hospitality, property management, retail, or service industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the company's accounting and financial operations across a growing portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong financial controls.
Provide financial reporting, analysis, and insights that support strategic decision-making.
Partner closely with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term planning.
Help build scalable financial processes and systems that support continued growth.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen reporting, and enhance operational performance.
Lead, mentor, and develop the bookkeeping team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with financial, tax, payroll, and regulatory requirements while supporting audits and maintaining strong internal controls.
