This role offers global exposure, working across multiple international markets including the U.S., Asia, and the Middle East, with hands-on experience in global supply chain operations. The position involves exposure to large retail programs and high-volume production supporting major retail and wholesale channels. You will build skills across design, product development, sourcing, manufacturing, quality control, logistics, and delivery within a full-cycle apparel environment. Requirements

  • Must reside in Torrance, CA, and work on-site full-time.
  • 12+ years of accounting experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in apparel accounting (Assistant Controller or Controller level).
  • Apparel experience is non-negotiable, including familiarity with cost accounting, inventory-in-transit, and production workflows.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and experience with 3PL/Warehouse Management System integrations.
  • Experience managing year-end financial reviews and supporting external auditors.
  • Proven ability to manage the data volume associated with high annual revenue using Excel and QBO.
  • Direct experience managing Factoring and A/R Financing draws.
  • Expert in Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query) to organize and audit high-volume data.

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of accounting operations: AP, AR, GL, payroll, and institutional-grade financial reporting.
  • Ensure high revenue in annual transactions are accurately captured in QBO, bridging the gap between high-volume data and the General Ledger.
  • Manage the close process, including consolidations, accruals, and comprehensive audit preparation.
  • Oversee cost accounting for raw materials, trims, labor, overhead, and finished goods.
  • Act as the primary lead for Factoring relationships, A/R financing, and bank borrowing base certificates.
  • Establish the 'checks and balances' to verify production cost sheets (managed by the COO) against actual bank outflows and factory invoices.
  • Manage the 'cash gap' between overseas factory deposits and large-scale wholesale collections.
  • Lead year-end financial reviews/audits and ensure GAAP compliance across multi-state and international operations.
  • Collaborate closely with production, sourcing, and logistics to improve processes and reporting.
  • Manage an accounting team (AP, AR, Staff Accountants) in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
