About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical ASO Financial Control Specialist to support financial analysis, control reporting, and data validation within a highly system-dependent environment. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring data integrity, identifying discrepancies early, and supporting efforts to improve billing accuracy and audit readiness. You will collaborate closely with Operations and IT teams to investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, and help reduce reliance on manual corrections through process improvements.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in a financial analyst or financial operations role.
  • Strong understanding of reconciliations, financial controls, and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas; macros considered an asset).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Process improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational skills and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Group Benefits an asset.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Outlook, Manuconnect, V3locity, Clients II and ASO Billing system is considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain key control reports for AFT, Claims Clearing, Deposits and Receivables.
  • Perform ongoing financial reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Validate data integrity across systems and reporting outputs.
  • Identify missing, duplicated, or misapplied transactions through regular analysis.
  • Conduct Variance and trend analysis to detect inconsistencies and anomalies.
  • Investigate issues caused by system jobs, data gaps, or process inefficiencies.
  • Provide insight and recommendations to improve controls and reduce risk.
